Watch The Throne???

Its been a while since I have blogged anything. Have gone through a lot of changes; sold my camera, Stop pursuing a career in a apparel and just plan on diving in my creative design career again. I am bringing back the blog that I believe not many people read anymore since I was blogging every 6 months or more.
Enough with that that side jargon. I back hopefully for good to talk about art, music, my thoughts, Beliefs (none religious) and passions.

One big passion is music and the creative side of it. The side about not just the sounds of the music and beats and melodies, but the buzz, the hype behind an album. The marketing side intrigues me. How an artist promos their creation and how they make people want to buy what they're selling to see the hustle come out.

"Watch the throne" the album with Jay-z & Kanye yeah remember that? Albums come and go like dirty laundry these days, but since they album dropped it in 2011 its like it was a Kanye and Hov telling the world they going into a competition. (friendly obviously)
Why you ask? Since Watch the Throne both have built  families both happen to be coming out with albums roughly around the same time. I feel like I can hear "Big Brother" playing in the background.

For those of you who follow Kanye all he has been doing is building his brand, G.O.OD. Music, Dating Kim K and getting more into high fashion. Kanye has set trends always has, started making movie appearance and adding production and cameos to the mix. Yes, we all know him for his " George Bush doesn't like black people" and making Taylor Swift look like a fool. If you put it all into perspective that's Kanyes life in a nutshell a soap opera, filled with ups and downs, fashion setting and ignorant statements. I'm a fan but who doesn't love a little controversy here and there.

On the other hand in typical Jay-Z fashion has just been signing athletes, making more music, guest appearance and making global money. Its almost like big brother had to come out and "show you how to do this son. Jay-Z has reached legendary status on so many levels. From having his own colour to moving an NBA team to Brooklyn.
Now with Magna Carta Holy Grail he was only made Yeezus look like child's play. Jay-z's name has become such a big brand that his hustle has gone corporate. Yeah Kanye can make shoes with designers and make custom shoes with Nike, but he has yet to move a another team to Chicago.

The Yeezus vs Magna Carta Holy Grail comparisons with be a big thing, well for me anyway. Because who will take it this year or is Drake coming to come out the Canadian woods drinking his Grammy for yet another year. Only time will tell I just know from all the hype Kanye built with the projections (bootleg commercial) and Jay-z having Samsung buy a spot during the finals to promo his album few weeks later.
